WHAT IS THE KNIGHTS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION?
The Knights Alumni Association (KAA) is a 'club' to which all past members, staff and supporters of the 2nd Brighton Scout Band, Imperial Knights and Southern Knights are automatically members.   The Associations main aims are to keep people up to date with the current activities of the Southern Knights and to try and keep old friends in touch with other.

To this end Alumni members have the opportunity of adding their name to the Alumni List (last updated 04/02/2006) and also advising items of Alumni News on the relevant parts of this web site.

HOW DID THE KAA START?
In 1996, following interest from numerous past members, the decision was made to launch The Knights Alumni Association and a small group, led by John 'Spike' Stevens and Steve Cole, was set up to formulate a way forward.

On 30th November 1996 The Knights Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps (and Colour Guard) held its first (and currently only) concert performing music from previous years of the 2nd Brighton Scouts, Imperial Knights and Southern Knights. Although this event was a huge success, being attended by approx. 400 people and raising nearly £2,000 (which was used to purchase a replacement equipment vehicle following an arson attack on the previous one), the KAA has been dormant since this time and therefore towards the end of 2001, and to coincide with the release of the three CD set covering the Corps performances from 1978 to 1990 (plus extracts from the Alumni Concert),  a decision was made to launch this Web Site which could be used as a focal point to help re-kindle interest in the Association.
