and MA Emeralds Colour Guard ~~~~~~~~~~ 1909 - 1982 |
The formation of a 'band' within the 2nd Brighton Scout Group can be traced back to 1909 when a drum and a bugle were used as a way of canvasing for new members, however the history of the Band is extremely scratchy and therefore, until more information is available, this section will commence with the year of the First British Marching Band Championships (later to become the British Youth Band Championships) held at Wembley Arena in 1978.
