1, 2, 3 at Burgess Hill
All three Knights Guards were in action at the SK sponsored Winterguard Contest being held at the Triangle Leisure Centre, Burgess Hill - a new venue for this activity - on Sunday 21st January.
The Rugrats started their 2001 campaign with an excellent performance in the Cadet Class performing to Robbie Williams Angels. It was a close contest in this class with 4 other units in competition but the judges were obviously impressed with the 17 members and to much delight the Rugrats were place 1st. A special well done to the new members this year Ella, Fiona, Sophie, Ellie-Jo, Daniella, Katie & Jennifer.
Following last weeks success the Cadet Guard performed another great show. Only 3 others in the Junior Class this week but the Guard increased their score nicely and were place 2nd - less than a point behind the class winners.
The Senior Guard, still on a high from the previous week, had spent the last few days making minor changes and although placed 3rd out of 3 they were more than please to close the gap on the the leading group. Well done also to Michelle for her first performance.
A three weeks break now to analyse the results and comments from the judges ready for all three Guards to travel to Essex on Sunday 18th February.
