Dagenham 'Part 2
Report
All three SK Guards were in competition at the
second contest to be held in Dagenham during the 2001 season.
The Rugrats were up against 5 other units in the
Cadet Class and had added a new ending plus more flag work.
Another excellent performance by the 17 members and an increased score
since the previous Dagenham contest but a little disappointed not to
move up the rankings.
The Cadets, in the Junior Class, once again got
the audience on their side with their bubbly Summertime
production. A good solid performance by the members kept them in
their seeded position of 3rd, against 5 others.
Into the Open Class and the Senior Guard seemed
to lack that little something that has helped keep their show near the
top three. Whilst staying in 4th Place, and still within sight
of the medals, they were caught up slightly by the chasing pack of
Guards below them.
The Senior Guard are in competition again in 2
weeks in Sheffield while the Juniors and Rugrats are now preparing for
the British Colour Guard Championships in Birmingham on Sunday 25th
March
