Burgess Hill Contest Report
The second contest of the 2002 Winterguard season was held at The Triangle Leisure Centre on Sunday 20th January and was organised by the Southern Knights.
The Rugrats, performing in the Cadet Class were competing against 3 other units and their Daisy production, including a 15ft high daisy!!, was a real crowd pleaser and although a little disappointed with the score they were placed a credible 2nd.
After the previous weeks 2nd place the Juniors were up against the Guard that came 1st plus a few other units unseen so far. An excellent performance again and a pleasing result of 2nd again and closing the score on the Guard currently sitting in 1st place.
The Seniors were hoping that this week the sound system would hold up, unlike the previous week, to enable them to show off to the home crowd. The confidence is definitely growing with the production and they held there 3rd position closing slightly on 2nd place.
Three weeks break now until the WGI European Regional in Dagenham on 16th February when all three Guards will be back in competition.
