Dagenham Contest Report
The penultimate contest of the 2002 season saw all three Southern Knights Guards return to the Goresbrook Leisure Centre in Dagenham on Sunday 3rd March.
The Rugrats had added a few little extra bits over the previous two weeks and, apart from a little bit of wandering about :-), improved on their score and were placed 2nd out of 4. The scenery/floor crew struggled a bit with the 14ft Daisy and so a bit of extra training required with this caption!!
By far the best performance of the year by the Juniors and whilst disappointed with dropping a place (placed 3rd out of 10) they are still up with pack with all to play for in two weeks time at the British Championships.
Finally the Seniors. This show is really showing a lot a class and whilst still coming in 3rd (this time out of 6) they have continued to close the gap on 2nd and are getting an excellent crowd reaction.
Two week to go until the British Championships and all three Guards will be putting in that little bit extra ready for the final push.
