Stage performance
wows the crowd
On Thursday 24th June eight members
of the Southern Knights took to the stage at The Hove Centre (Hove
Town Hall) to appear at a Family Festival organised by Blatchington
Mill School which was a showcase of Performing Arts from Brighton
& Hove Schools and Community Groups (in fact SK were the only non
school based performers).
The event was extremely well
attended (especially considering England were playing in the quarter
finals of the European Cup!) and there was a full house of around
1,000 people in the audience watching the 15 different groups that
were showcasing their talents.
SK performed a Colour Guard and
Dance routine to the music of Daniel Beddingfield and the audience had
obviously never been treated to a display quite like this and the
girls received massive applause at the end of the performance and also
seemed to be the talk of the event in the foyer afterwards.
Congratulations to Abbey (her first
ever show with SK), Ashleigh, Becky T, Becky W, Claudia, Gemma,
Katrina and Millie on their performance and also to Emma and Sarah for
putting the whole thing together.
Hopefully we can get involved in
more events of this type which can give the members the thrill of
performing without the pressure of competition.
