First Camp Weekend

The weekend of 19th, 20th and 21st November the Open Class Guard were scheduled to learn the staging for their 2005 production with the first visit of the season of the newly appointed Phantom Regiment Guard Caption Head, Adam Sage. This is Adam's second season with Southern Knights and sees him now more involved at the planning and writing stage than for the 2004.
The weekend not only saw the staging completed but also the addition of dance, sabre, rifle and silk features which were far in excess of the achievements hoped for and was a testament to both the members and staff dedication over the long weekend. The next 3 weeks will see this work consolidated in time for Adams second visit for the weekend prior to Christmas.
The other 3 Guards have been working hard over the past 6 weeks and each of their shows are now formulating nicely and in addition to this costumes, floor painting and scenery are all coming on a pace.
There is a buzz at rehearsals and, whilst we can't predict season end placings, 2005 looks like a fun and exciting year for SK.
